What kind of mindset do you have?  A negative mindset or a power, positive thinking mindset.  Unfortunately developing a negative mindset can very easily happen without much effort.  It is easy to get into a foul mood over one thing or another.  However, if this mindset continues to linger, it can inhibit your ability to achieve your dreams and goals.

When your mind is in this kind of negative, foul mood, you are not the only one that is affected.  Everyone that you come in contact with can be impacted by your negativity.  Yet, ultimately you bear major consequences of a negative mood.  If you realize that you are in such a state, you will need to assess the underlying causation and then try to figure out some positive action that will turn your mood around.

Perhaps the best place to begin is by thinking about your goals, dreams and aspirations.  This can take some effort but it will come down to a decision on whether you want to continue in your negative mood or whether you will choose a more positive outlook. While the first component it to make that choice, you will then have to take some action to validate your positive decision.

Let’s look at a systematic plan that you can use to get yourself from that negative mindset to a power, positive thinking mindset.

It doesn’t matter how deeply rooted your negative mindset is,  you can always take action to change your demeanour and crawl out of that pit.  It doesn’t even matter how old you are.  You may have had a negative thought process for many years, but the good news is that you can always change your thinking.

The first thing to look at is how you talk to yourself. This is that little man or woman inside of your head that constantly speaks to you with ruthless candidness.  This little voice does not mince any words.  It will frankly tell you what he/she thinks of you.  Usually this self talk is negative. You will have to make a choice whether or not you listen to that voice.

You will want your head voice to be saying positive things about you and your plans.  So the question is, how do you get that voice to be positive and tell you what you can do?  Remember, your mind is like a powerful computer.  A computer can only operate the way it is programmed.  Similarly your mind will need to be reprogrammed with positive “I can” thoughts.

To achieve this power positive thinking mind change, you should begin to recite some daily affirmations that tell you how good you are and what you can achieve.  As you continually input these positive thoughts, you will find that it will quickly become part of your thinking.  An ancient proverb once said, “As a man thinketh, so is he”.   If you think positive thoughts, you will become a positive person.

As you do this over an extended period of time, you will begin to see a welcomed change in your life.  One of the things you will notice is a substantial reduction of stress in your life. You will most likely still have difficult situations to deal with, but your demeanour in dealing with them will reduce the stress of the moment.

Finally, you will want to take time to evaluate and think over every situation that you find yourself in.  Use these techniques and you will discover that positive person inside of you that will exude confidence and attract others to you.
